Bill Lin– Executive Secretary

Ottawa-Carleton District School Board

Bill Lin is a first-year student trustee from the Ottawa-Carleton District School board for the 2011-2012 school year. He currently is in grade 12 at A.Y. Jackson Secondary School in Kanata.

Bill is an active member in his school, taking on many leadership roles in many clubs. Last year, he served as a student council co-president and organized a variety of events. Bill always wants to look for ways to make school fun through running a variety of entertaining and amusing activities at his school.
In his spare time, Bill often enjoys stargazing under a clear dark sky in his backyard with his telescope. He has an innate curiosity and constantly wants to explore the world around him. With this hobby, Bill actively leads many stargazing sessions in the school astronomy clubs, showing many other students the mysterious night sky.

This year has a student student trustee, Bill would like to establish a firm channel of communication with the average student. He's looking at ways of creating more awareness of the student trustee role, and would like to engage student leaders from accross his board to actively voice out their opinions.
