Kareem Ibrahim– Communications Officer & Webmaster
Ottawa-Carleton District School Board

Kareem Ibrahim is currently in his senior year of high school at Earl of March Secondary School, in Ottawa, Ontario. As the Student Trustee for the Ottawa-Carleton DSB this year, Kareem looks forward to jointly consulting with students and staff during his term to advocate for issues that are important to both the students and staff, and inspiring positive change in his school community.
Ever since his first year of high school, when he was elected as Grade 9 Representative, as minor as this position was in the big picture of his school’s Student Council, for Kareem, it played a vital role in inspiring him to continue to actively involve himself in both his school and community. As Student Body President, Kareem is passionate about motivating his peers and adamant in making high school a positive experience for everyone, both academically and from an extra-curricular perspective.
Kareem works part-time as a lifeguard and aquatic instructor at the Kanata Leisure Centre, and enjoys biking, spending time with friends and family and reading in his spare time. He plans on pursuing a career in the field of political science/public affairs, and hopes not only to learn a great deal about his future career through his involvement with OSTA-AECO, but also to contribute significantly to Ontario’s education system and to further the voices of over 2 million students as Communications Officer.
