Cody Welton, from Lindsay, served as the Student Trustee of Trillium Lakelands District School Board in the 2008-2009 school year. During his term, he was elected President of OSTA-AECO, and saw the organization take a strong stance against increasing extra-curricular activity fees and the inequitable access of board resources for Student Trustees. During his term the organization also saw the reestablishment of the Alumni Board of Directors and a strengthened relationship with Student Vote. Cody was both a Weston Loran Scholar and a Morehead-Cain Scholar and at the end of the 2009 school year when Cody received his OSSD from Lindsay Collegiate Vocational Institute, he accepted the Morehead-Cain. Now attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Cody is pursuing a double major in Political Science and Communication Studies.
