Durham District School Board

 

 

Patrick Quinton-Brown is a Grade Twelve student with a keen dedication to the student voice. Deeply involved in student politics, he is Student Parliament Prime Minister for Sinclair Secondary School and Student Trustee for the Durham District School Board. He is very proud to be elected as Director of Communications and current webmaster of OSTA-AECO.

 

With an interest in political affairs sparking after his role as legislative page, Patrick has since involved himself as an active community leader. In his role as a member of the Whitby Youth Council and Road Watch, Patrick strives to express youth concerns and run Town events like the Whitby Youth Leadership Conference and Whitby Youth Fair. Founder of the annual Whitby Film Festival, Patrick helps promote creative talents and recognize local artists. In pursuit of school spirit and character development, he empowered younger student leaders by founding a school leadership camp.
Patrick is a passionate supporter of human rights and activist for global issues. As Secretary General for his school’s Model United Nations, he spearheaded the two-day Sinclair Model United Nations Conference and is an award-

winning MUN delegate. As co-chair for his school’s Youth in Action Committee, he welcomes guest speakers, organizes fundraisers and visualizes awareness campaigns.

 

A lover of the arts, Patrick enjoys acting and participates in school theatre productions. In his spare time, Patrick is a filmmaker, reader and writer.


Patrick`s experiences are a testament to the pride he takes in serving the students of Ontario. He looks forward to a year of positive change.
